Mr.
Wangxinshen who is a vice-chairman of Wanzhou District Viewing
Stones Association and Wanzhou District Arts Association,
he is also a member of Chongqing Calligraphist Association,
and the secretary-general of Wanzhou District Seal Cutting
Association. At the same time, Mr. Wang is a forum editor
and judge of China Viewing Stones Association and the Yangtze
River Strange Stones Website and Zhonghua Rare Stones Website.
It
is more than 10 years since Mr. Wang has collected viewing stone
when he owned the first natural rocks in February
25, 1979 year. Up to now there are more than ten thousands
suiseki in his home.
Many
of his viewing stones collection is the landscape rock and the
shape rock, they are all completely natural, no cut or any
alteration. Otherwise, there is a large amount of Tree Gorges
Silicified Wood and Chrysanthemum stone, Yunjing stone
in his collection house. Mr. Wangxinshen's viewing
stones has showed on many of Medias, including China Central
Television, Province Television, as well as many of special
scholar's rocks magazine and news paper.

 Mr. Jin Shan is a native of Xuzhou city, Jiangsu Province. Xuzhou city, a historically famous city once named Peng Cheng City in ancient China, has a splendid culture of more than 4,000 years. There was a poem saying that, "Peng Cheng City is one of the nine most prosperous parts of ancient China, famed for its essential strategic location at war since old times." Xuzhou city was not only the important military location that soldiers must fight for, but also the classical Chinese Culture birthplace of Chu and Han Culture in particular. The viewing stone culture takes an important role in Xuzhou's classical culture. Xuzhou is abundant in the wonderful natural stones, and head of four famous stones named Lingbi Stone also been transplanted to many other places in China from here (Lingbi is one place in Henan Province of China, famous for its viewing stones). Since China started reform and adopted the open - door policy in 1978, appreciating scholars stone has become the common practice in Xuzhou City and many experienced experts with extensive knowledge, emerged like bamboo shoots after a spring rain. Mr. Jin Shan is one of them.
Mr. Jin Shan often says that, "viewing stone collection is the first step we should do, then we appreciate viewing stone and try to comprehend them, that is to say, viewing stone collection itself merely is not enough, quality comes after the quantity.Therefore, the wholly absorbed collection is a premise. On the work post, Mr. Jin is certainly to fulfill his responsibility diligently being a public servant. But in the weekends and spare time, while others go out fishing or play mahjong (a popular Chinese chess game) he goes to the ravine; river banks and market places to collect natural stones or enjoys his favorite collections at home. He does not smoke nor drink, only got addicted to the natural stones. His insistent pursue at viewing stone arts is very touching, sometimes he even enters the situation in which he neglects to eat and sleep. Mr. Jin Shan once told me an unforgettable story happened more than 30 years ago. When he was in the army defending the border, Mr. Jin walked along with the army to the Tenggeli Desert (Presently for the Arab League). On the road, he was attracted by the superficially bright and clean spirit crystal and the variegated stones. At that time he forgot the hot sun and boiling sand baking to appreciate those viewing stone, until the companion urged him to leave for many times. At last, he was reluctant to leave with two scraps. It was those two scraps that followed him on foot traveling more than 3,000 kilometers. We can understand his affection for the stones. In addition, a countryside old farmer told me another story about Jin Shan. On the lunar New Year's Day of Last year, he was awakened by Mr. Jin Shan in midnight, who wanted to purchase the turtle grain spirit wall viewing stone. For the individual collection the farmer was rather reluctant to sell, but finally was moved by Jin's sincerity.  This has become a popular story in the locality.
Jin Shan not only loves these scholar's stones, but also can timely grasp the opportunity to enrich his collection in very low price. He does not have money to burn, he promptly holds the initial period when the viewing stones were excavated initially and the price was inexpensive. In this way, he has collected large quantities of different types of the scholars stones. Sometimes on official business opportunity, treading the turbulent current rapids and jumping over, despite of the hunger, thirst, hot sun and severe coldness, he is determined to enrich his collection. He often exchanges his collection with the outside friends with the limited fund to unceasingly expand his artistic world. By doing this, the natural stone collection was been brought into the benign track.
Jin Shan is both diligent in the stone collection and his work. He believes that "The gold always shines wherever it is", and deeply believes success can be achieved by hard work.Therefore, he repeatedly participates in various stones contests inside and outside China in order to enlarge his knowledge and broaden his horizon. He earnestly studies the domestic and foreign suiseki famous experts'theory monographs, and unifies his own viewing stone collection to conduct the research. Now he has gradually formed his unique viewing stone--appreciating insight, and realized the qualitative leap of the stones idea. He thinks that this kind of change is mainly manifested from the stresses to takes the resemble form to the pursuit of the esthetic charm, and is manifested in the perfect qualities that any chinese scholar stone he collects. He appreciates the viewing stones from the cultural interest, the connoisseurship value and "washes off the trouble of the mind" instead of the viewing stones themselves. He shares joyfully the connotation of viewing stone collections and the tutelage with the teacher and the friends and the family members. The industrious practice has made substantial achievements. Mr. Jin Shan was awarded the title of one of the best viewing stones artists by the Chinese Collector Association and the first session of stone art festival of Dalian 1998. His biography and the partial work are also written into the "Contemporary Chinese Famous Stone Experts Ceremony".
Among his collection, there is a valuable one named" having remnants year after year".  This is a rare reddish and brown Lingbi stone, which naturally resembles a lifelike goldfish. Through appreciating for long time Mr. Jin used 30 inclining chassis, matched by the calligraphy, and caused the fish head dynasty to dive, the rear part to swing in the breeze. The hard stone seems extremely beautifully. It not only activates the people's association, also appears the Chinese traditional culture ideal and the artistic style of Mr. Jin Shan.This masterpiece was not only admired by experts, but also awarded golden prize at the forth stone contest of Asian and Pacific area, which was the only golden prize of Jiangsu Province. Jin Shan once said with emotion, "In my eyes, the scholar's stone is not the ordinary one, but the non-word poem, the three-dimensional picture and the coagulated rhythm. It is the natural gracious gift to me, which the other people are unable to duplicate forever". Theoretically speaking, he enjoys the viewing stones by a new angle of view more than just watching with naked eyes. This kind of consciousness is the true appreciation and awaking to the truth from them".
Mr. Jin Shan does well in "Chan shi" in Chinese---awaking the truth from the stones very much. What does it mean? In Chinese it should be "reflecting on something". Such consciousness has the mystery which surpasses the imagination of common people. He has the unique objective and the new opinion to those wonderful stones. Jin Shan is of strong perception, one of his collection resembles the structure of mainland China. It is said that this viewing stone was natural formed for 100 million years. He associates the shape of the viewing stone to Chinese 56 nationalities, and the spirit to the bumper grain harvest. This scholars stone has demonstrated the cultural connotation to the world charm, and shocked the strength to the people' mind. He is worth admiring on his perception of natural beauty. Through appreciating the stones we can obtain the philosophy on the life, the art and the enlightenment. Mr. Jin Shan once said "enjoying viewing stones not only gives me the spiritual comfort, also embellishes my life and encourages me to explore all my life."
Accordingly, enjoying viewing stones is connected to the characteristics of its owner. The culture of Chinese scholar's rock is a part of the Chinese traditional culture, which has obtained full affirmation since the ancient times. Its simple and artistic form brings the people the beautiful feeling and the spirit of the love.It can arouse the people to love the nature, love the nationality, and love the country as well as the friends and the family. This manifests the ideal condition of appreciating viewing stones. It brings the people warmth and brightness of the spring, and guides people to treat others in a gentle and friendly way.
