The
Yangtze River rare stones getting popular
So
the collection and appreciation of stones in Sichuan Province have
a long history because of the rich resources of strange stones.
A lot of precious
stones as the heritage of our ancestors 3500 years ago have been
unearthed from the famous Jinsha Site in the western suburb of Chengdu
city. There are also a lot of much-told folktale about stones in
Sichuan Province, including Tianya Stone in Chengdu, Tianmen Stone
in E'mei, Junzi (gentlemen) Stone in Yibin, Guanxing Stone in Jiang'an,
Changsheng (long-life) Stone in Jiuzhaigou and Dufu (a famous poet
in Tang Dynasty) Stone in Luzhou.
For
the past few years, the fans who collected and appreciated viewing stone
in Sichuan Province have grown from thousands to hundreds of thousand;
and Sichuan Province has become one of the most enthusiastic areas
in the trade of stone collection and appreciation in China.
There
is an ancient saying going that gold is valuable but stone is invaluable.
As the strange stones are the artworks of nature, there are no same
stones in the world. The naturalness and uniqueness have turned
stones into the special commodities. The prices of strange stones
are not established by the pricing agencies and the administrative
agencies for industry and commerce, but decided by the market. As
said by the industry participants that the deal will succeed when
the buyers want to buy and the seller want to sell. During the news
survey, the reporter found that the most precious stone in a lot
of stone shops and museums were not displayed, but only shown in
the large-format pictures or in the videodisks. When asked about
the reason, the response will be very brief: "Not for sale".
