The Yangtze River rare stones getting popular

So the collection and appreciation of stones in Sichuan Province have a long history because of the rich resources of strange stones. A lot of precious stones as the heritage of our ancestors 3500 years ago have been unearthed from the famous Jinsha Site in the western suburb of Chengdu city. There are also a lot of much-told folktale about stones in Sichuan Province, including Tianya Stone in Chengdu, Tianmen Stone in E'mei, Junzi (gentlemen) Stone in Yibin, Guanxing Stone in Jiang'an, Changsheng (long-life) Stone in Jiuzhaigou and Dufu (a famous poet in Tang Dynasty) Stone in Luzhou.

For the past few years, the fans who collected and appreciated viewing stone in Sichuan Province have grown from thousands to hundreds of thousand; and Sichuan Province has become one of the most enthusiastic areas in the trade of stone collection and appreciation in China.

There is an ancient saying going that gold is valuable but stone is invaluable. As the strange stones are the artworks of nature, there are no same stones in the world. The naturalness and uniqueness have turned stones into the special commodities. The prices of strange stones are not established by the pricing agencies and the administrative agencies for industry and commerce, but decided by the market. As said by the industry participants that the deal will succeed when the buyers want to buy and the seller want to sell. During the news survey, the reporter found that the most precious stone in a lot of stone shops and museums were not displayed, but only shown in the large-format pictures or in the videodisks. When asked about the reason, the response will be very brief: "Not for sale".
